Seven year old RT from Gza came to the U.S. to receive a life-saving stem cell transplant for a rare blood disorder that takes the lives of 90% of untreated children between the ages of 5-9.

Since her arrival in the U.S., she has lived in accommodations designed specifically for pediatric patients from out of town who require intensive medical treatment.

As she nears 100 days post transplant, her need for frequent medical care decreases. However, her risk for transplant complication remains, requiring her to stay in the U.S. until January.

We are now raising funds to secure a furnished, short term rental for RT. We need to raise $30,000 for the foreseeable future.

Every dollar given toward this campaign directly supports this Palestinian family from Gaza. No funds are used for administrative purposes.

Thanks to your generous support, the RT family is moving into their new home next week, and have enough funds for at least six months.

On the other side of the world, RT’s father just witnessed the complete destruction of the home they built over many years, and completed in 2023.

Given how dire the circumstances are in Gza, we have reopened our fundraiser for RT’s family back home. The level of suffering is immense.

We will continue to send funds by bank transfer that they can access with their debit card in the market. With free aid is heavily restricted, some food is available for purchase in the market at very high prices.

We have been working with the medical team to understand the criteria for housing that is safe and healing for RT, and are also considering locations close to community support and everyday living (e.g., grocery stores, parks).

We received an incredible in-kind donation to furnish their new home, and are thankful to the volunteers who moved and stored this furniture. We expect to move in August, and will share a wishlist of any remaining household items that need to be purchased.
